We are excited to present this new adventure in conjunction with Strahan Helicopters.

Steam

Join our River and Rainforest tour from Strahan to Double Barril, including stunning views across Macquarie Harbour and up the King River, numerous bridge crossings, wild honey tastings at Lower Landing and see the loco being turned at Dubbil Barril, deep in the rainforest.

Helicopter

Then climb aboard your Strahan Helicopter for a scenic flight with amazing aerial views of the West Coast before landing back at Regatta Point, Strahan.

This tour is available from mid-September to Easter on selected River & Rainforest tours at the special introductory price of $299 just per person.

  • Watch the locomotive being turned at Dubbil Barril and take a short walk in the rainforest.

Usually. On the rare occasions that our steam locomotives are not operable, heritage diesel locomotives will be used instead.

The West Coast Wilderness Railway is closed on Christmas Day and the Queen’s Birthday public holiday, but operates on other holidays.
