The West Coast Wilderness Railway will be making some changes to its timetable in coming weeks.

The West Coast Wilderness Railway will be making some changes to its timetable in coming weeks, due to operational reasons.

- The Afternoon Rack and Gorge tour will not operate during March or on Monday 18 February; however morning Rack and Gorge services will operate as usual.

- The River and Rainforest tour on Sunday 24 February will be operated by our heritage diesel engine.

- Looking ahead to winter, our heritage diesel engine will operate the River and Rainforest tour during June and August.

 Heritage Diesel Engines

The West Coast Wilderness Railway operates two historic diesel locomotives dating from the 1950s, which were acquired specifically for this line.

While our heritage steam engines tend to get most of the limelight, these diesel engines are every bit as significant to the West Coast and to the Railway, and the opportunity to ride them is just as special.
