Apprentice joins our workshop team

September 10, 2018
The chance to teach and share skills has been missing from our workshop for many years, until now.

For more than a decade our workshop has been missing one thing; the skills and knowledge that having an apprentice on board can bring out of the woodwork. The chance to teach and share has been absent for many years, until now.

Sam Bradshaw has joined our group of talented team members undertaking his Certificate 3 in Engineering/Fitter Machinist. Working from the Carswell Park workshop in Queenstown, we are thrilled to be able to offer this opportunity to Sam, as we at the West Coast Wilderness Railway value training, developing and providing local employment opportunities where ever possible. We have also been able to offer apprenticeships in the kitchen at Tracks Cafe a number of times.

We would like to wish Sam well in his training, and hope that he is able to gain the skills needed to fulfil his career ambitions whilst working with us. Welcome aboard Sam!
